Book design for Ingmar Bergman which archives and analyzes the themes, motifs and cinematic style of the late Swedish auteur. The book features specific writing and analysis into how his films have evolved and matured over the span of his career. While early Bergman films were often rebellious and fixated on youth culture, his later films explored more mature themes such as the female role in society as well as human relationships in Swedish culture. The book also explores Bergman’s main influences in the first few years of his career.
